Footwear Intel respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our site.
Our Image Sourcing Policy
Footwear Intel follows a strict legal compliance model for all images published on this site. We source images exclusively from:
- Brand press rooms and newsrooms — official press-release imagery provided for editorial use
- Creative Commons and royalty-free sources — Wikimedia Commons, Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, and similar platforms
- Social media embeds — embedded (not re-hosted) posts from Instagram, X/Twitter, and other platforms
- Original content — photographs, illustrations, and AI-generated imagery created by our team
- Licensed stock photography — commercially licensed images from stock agencies
Every image on our site carries attribution metadata, including the source, license type, and credit line. We never re-host social media images and we do not scrape or republish images from competitor publications, wire services, or paywalled sources.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on Footwear Intel infringes your copyright, please submit a written notification containing the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work — A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notification.
- Identification of the infringing material — The URL(s) or other specific identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it.
- Your contact information — Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good faith statement — A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement — A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Signature — A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

Our Response Process
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 1 business day
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material promptly, typically within 24-48 hours
- Notify the content provider (if applicable) that the material has been removed
- Maintain records of the takedown for our compliance files
Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it previously appeared
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original complaint
- Your physical or electronic signature
Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or access of users who are repeat infringers.
Good Faith
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability. Please ensure your claim is legitimate before submitting a notice.
